Pauline Page

Family historians world wide will be saddened by the news of the death of
Pauline Page on the 12th November. She was a long standing member of BMSGH.
She had worked along with a team of trusty volunteers compiling many records
of monumental inscriptions principally in Warwickshire but also some in
Worcestershire. Despite her disability due to arthritis she would sit in her
wheelchair in churchyards directing recorders and ensuring accuracy in the
transcripts made of the tombstones, some of which have since disappeared.
Her legacy is in these recordings available on fiche used in Warwick County
Archives, the Society of Genealogists and BMSGH library.
A fuller tribute to Pauline will appear in the next Midland Ancestor.
